Tasting Notes prepared by Juliet Cullen
ARIEL Chardonnay 2003 - This californian wine is bright and golden in the glass. There is a touch of peach aroma on the nose as expected from Chardonnay.
This is complimented by a hint of cashews and nuttiness and just a little oak to balance the wine. The wine has probably undergone malo-lactic fermentation, which has softened the acidity and given it some complexity to marry the flavours of fruit, nuttiness and oak.
The palate has medium palate weight consistent with Chardonnay, with a firm tannin finish to balance the wine and give it some length.
This is a ready to drink now wine and is very refreshing served chilled.
